Zone Technique

How Dr. Peter Goldman developed the Zone Technique.
When most people think of chiropractic, they think of neck and back pain relief. Of course, chiropractic is an excellent way to relieve neck and back pain, but this is only a fraction of the original chiropractic (https://www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/what-is-chiropractor) is all about. The founder of chiropractic, DD Palmer, taught that altered nerve flow was the root cause of disease and misaligned spinal vertebrae (https://www.spine-health.com/blog/five-ways-keep-your-spine-healthy-and-happy) negatively affect nerve flow. He taught that restoring the vertebrae to their proper alignment would restore health. Dr. Pete carries on this tradition and more.
Specifically, Dr. Pete’s Zone Technique is built upon the principles of Palmer’s natural chiropractic, combined with the teachings of Dr. Thurman Fleet (1895-1983) and many of his other influences in healing, metaphysics, and martial arts (https://www.chiroeco.com/martial-arts-chiropractic/).
Dr. Fleet created Zone Therapy in 1931. The healing results his patients achieved were unparalleled. In the early 1990s, Dr. Pete began studying alongside several of Dr. Fleet’s top students and ultimately created Zone Technique. While Dr. Pete was in chiropractic school, much of the faculty were so fascinated with the healing results that Dr. Pete’s patients were achieving (https://zoneschoolofhealing.com/testimonials/) that they, too, began getting adjusted by him. Since graduating from chiropractic school, the phenomenal results have continued, leading to patients flying from all over the world to get Zone adjustments from Dr. Pete.
How the Zones Work:

Dr. Fleet taught the following – "there are only six kinds of disturbances that can affect the human body. These are GLANDULAR, ELIMINATIVE, NERVOUS, DIGESTIVE, MUSCULAR, and CIRCULATORY. Therefore, all diseased conditions, aches and pains, and other discomforts experienced by the body can be attributed to one or more of the above disturbances to the body's six systems or Zones."
According to Dr. Fleet, the human brain is composed of many centers. These centers form in the embryonic stage of life and develop from the dorsomedial ectoderm of the embryo. For example, a center controls the glands of the body. In addition, this center is associated with the organs of elimination. This center regulates the central nervous system and is differentiated as an ectodermal neural plate in the dorsomedial region of the ectoderm.
A brain center regulates the digestive organs. For example, we find a center in the brain's motor cortex that controls all of the body's muscles. In the caudate nuclei (both), we see the center, which regulates the flow of fluids (circulation) through the body.
Because the body may be appropriately classified as an ELECTRICAL MACHINE, these six brain centers represent the POSITIVE POLE of the body, and specific related points in the spinal cord represent the NEGATIVE POLE of the body. Therefore, when there is a disturbance in any bodily area, one or more of these centers are "shorted out."
There has been a disruption of the entire center's normal function due to emotional, physical, or chemical stress.
The Zone doctor examines the patient to determine which brain centers are not in harmony with the systems they control. This is done by the Zone doctor feeling specific points on the patient's head. These points are related to the six brain centers by nerve connections. When a brain center is not sending the proper signals to its system, all bodily material associated with that system suffers. To correct this, the zone doctor stimulates specific points in the spinal cord.
Six sets of four points in the spinal cord (negative pole) are related to the six brain centers (positive pole). Stimulation of the proper points by the Zone doctor sends healing energy up the spinal cord to the brain centers that need balancing. The balanced brain centers can send the appropriate signals to the body's systems, and the body is better able to heal itself.

Gonstead Technique

The Gonstead system of chiropractic is widely recognized throughout world as one of the best methods in diagnosing and adjusting the spine. The method focuses on adjusting the spine, pelvis, and extremities as precisely as possible. Unlike other methods of chiropractic, there are no random manipulations applied to various bones and joints – each adjustment is made using precise methodology.
